Steve loved his community and Mississippi County. He was a very active member of his beloved First Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for well over 50 years. Steve served his county with honor in the United States Navy. He was the retired owner and operator of McGuire and Sons Farms and served Mississippi County as County Judge for 16 years. Steve graduated from the University of Arkansas where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He participated in numerous professional and community organizations and particularly enjoyed the Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Anne Tyler McGuire; and his parents.
Steve is survived by his son, Eric McGuire (Leigh Kemp) of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; daughter, Tyler McGuire of Blytheville; sister, Jo Alice McDonald (Tom) of Jonesboro; and grandson, Zach Hixson (Julia) of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
