Eddie L. Garner, 69, of Chandlerville, IL passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 At 3:20 PM at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born on May 14, 1951, in Beardstown, IL, to Elliott and Iona (Pherigo) Garner.
Ed is survived by his companion of several years, Quinn Dearing; two daughters, Kim (Gary) Feagans and Amy (Andrew) Woodrum; grandchildren, Dallas and Kaylee Jones, Alli Moslander and Jaxen and Mason Feagans; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Grogan; sisters, Sue (Harlin) Noel, Cheryl (Tom) Pettit and Karen (Wyatt) Anderson and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ed had worked for ideal industries and later as a conductor for BNSF Railroad before retiring. He enjoyed collecting marbles and antique Mustang cars. In his younger years he enjoyed farming and working on the family farm.
A funeral service will be held for Ed on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Ed's niece, Cindy Baugher, will officiate. Burial will follow at Chandlerville Cemetery in Chandlerville.
Memorials may be made to PAWS Animal Rescue in Jacksonville, IL.
