Brenda Diane Sexton Duke was born in Washington D.C. on April 22, 1957 to the late George and Rachel Sexton. She departed this life on Friday, March 26, 2021. She came to Florida as a child, growing up in Anthony, FL. For more than 30 years, she worked in a number of Marion County and Pinellas County schools, touching the lives of many children. She is survived by her husband of more than 46 years, Mike, son Paul and fiancee Laken, daughter Christy, sister Cheryl, grandson Donavon, granddaughter Kennedy, and great granddaughter Adeline. A memorial will be held at noon on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Whitehurst Lodge on Whitehurst Ranch Rd in Archer, FL.
The family appreciates all acts of kindness during this time of sorrow, and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Brenda's name to the Christian Appalachian Project or True & Faithful Pet Rescue Mission.
