He loved every part of the outdoors, from hunting and camping to outings on his boat and rides on his motorcycle. He was an avid fan of Florida Gator football and NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Jr. being his favorite driver. One of the most important parts of Craig's life was spending time with family and friends, but most importantly, his grandchildren. He was a kind soul who never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Willie Combs Jr. and Ann Davis; and his beloved wife: Louice Combs.
He is survived by his children: Melissa (Shannon) Ploucher, Tiffney (DJ) Brantley, and Jay (Brandi) Combs all of Taylor; grandchildren: Derek, Alisha, Erica, Trace, Alexis, Destiny, Daniel, Hunter, Bailey, Savannah, Jay Jr. and Bryley; great-grandchildren: Violet, Colt, Addie, and Lane; brother: Randy Combs of Taylor; sisters: Janice Davis of Taylor and Sue (Fred) Harris of Missouri; as well as other extended family members.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glen Friendship Tabernacle Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Taylor Church with Pastor Mark Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery.
