SWIGER, Larry "Tub," 77, of Weirton, WV, passed away Monday, November 18, 2013, at the Weirton Geriatric Center.

He was born August 31, 1936 in Folsom, WV, a son of the late Glen Swiger and Avis (Fleming) and John Howell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Josie Wilson.

Larry retired from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a printer and also worked the maintenance crew at Dingbats.

Larry "Tub" is survived by his wife, Donna Swiger of Weirton, WV; four stepdaughters, Debbie (Jerry) Hutchison ofWeirton, WV, Gwen (Steve) Tucker of Pittsburgh, PA, Kelly Gaston of Weirton, WV, and Tracy (Jeff) Hukill of New Cumberland, WV; four children, Melanie Swiger of Houston, TX, Glen Swiger of Weirton, WV, Julie (Bert) Groves of Weirton, WV, and Clint Swiger of Wellsburg, WV; three sisters and three brothers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received Saturday from 3-6 p.m. at Turley Funeral Home.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Craig Greathouse officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

A very, very special thank you goes out to the entire staff of the second floor Garden Place at Weirton Geriatric Center for their loving and wonderful care during "Tub's" stay at Weirton Geriatric.

Their loving care is very, very much appreciated by his family.
