Rebecca Ann Carter, age 42, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at her home. She was born March 26, 1973 in Gurdon, the daughter of Leon and Sharon Benton Hathcoat. Rebecca was a licensed LPN and a member of First Christian Church of Gurdon. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Hathcoat, and her grandparents, Benegene Cottingham, M G & Birdie Hathcoat and Brooks Benton.
Rebecca is survived by her father, Leon (Pam) Hathcoat of Gurdon, her husband, Mark Carter of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Ashlee and Loren Carter both of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Lori Hathcoat Rogers of Gurdon and Jennifer Hathcoat Thomas of Little Rock.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Whelen Springs Baptist Church with Terry LeMay and Rusty Jones officiating.
