Samuel "Sammy" Ira Grimes, Jr., 75, passed away on April 10, 2021. He was a native of Norfolk, VA and served over 8 years in the Military. He is predeceased by his parents Samuel and Harriet Grimes; two brothers: Vernon L. Grimes and Clinton E. Grimes; two sisters: Orna Mae Hunter and Margaret L. Cleary. Sammy leaves to cherish his memory two sisters: Catherine Miller (Caregiver) and Angela Regina Davis (Kenneth); two brothers: Rudolph Grimes (Ronda) and Donell Grimes (Ruth); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The funeral will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at Keith Matthews Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk. A visitation will be on Monday April 19, 2021 from 3pm to 6pm at Keith Matthews Funeral Home.
