She grew up in Monroe, GA. After graduating from high school and obtaining training as a secretary, she moved to Atlanta, GA to work in the offices of Western Auto, and where she met her husband, Robert. She was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly and Florence Howard, who were married 71 years; husband, Robert; two brothers, Herbert and Harold, who both served during World War II; and sister, Evelyn Davis-Fehler. She is survived by her five children, Judy, Steve, Andy, Jill, and Greg and their spouses; eleven grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
