Murder Victim.Angels carried a precious young lady ~ Makiyah Lee Wilson ~ and gently placed her in the loving arms of Jesus on July 16, 2018.

Makiyah ~ like all kids ~ was enjoying her summer vacation. That July afternoon, she had spent some time swimming at the pool. Upon returning home, she went to purchase ice cream from the neighborhood truck. Suddenly a hail of gunfire erupted. Sadly, Makiyah was fatally wounded by one of those bullets.

The warm and ever-smiling 10-year-old loved music, dancing, video games, and a variety of sports. She was to play on the basketball team the upcoming school year. A star student, Makiyah was about to enter 5th grade.

The community hosted balloon releases, candlelight vigils, and peace rallies in honor of Makiyah and in support of her family.

Several hundred people ~ friends, neighbors, classmates, and dignitaries ~ joined the family in attendance at funeral for this precious Child of God. Before the casket closed, Makiyah was crowned a princess by her mother. After the service, her dad released three white doves while the small white coffin was escorted by a horse-drawn carriage. A beautiful tribute for a beautiful princess.
