Joan met the love of her life Robert G. (Chip) Baker Jr. on Kelly's Island, the summer of 1978. They were married a year later in Cleveland Heights where they resided for 8 years before moving to Lake Ave. on Cleveland's near west side. Joan and her husband became very active in the areas homeowners association which ensures the integrity of all the neighborhood's old classic homes. She loved living by the lake and boating, and socializing with the neighbors where she made many lifelong friends.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her older brothers Donald and Tony as well as Kathleen (Sister Ephrem, Order Sisters of Mercy, Fremont). Surviving, in addition to her husband Chip is her sister Mary Ann, of St. Joseph MI and brother Johnny, Wickenburg, AZ as well as several generations of nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 6928 Detroit Ave., Cleveland, OH. Thursday May 13, 2021 at 11am. Family will receive friends one hour before mass at church. There will be a "Celebration of Her Life" gathering at a later date. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion Oh. Private.
