Jeff was born in Troy on March 2, 1968, grew up in Poestenkill, NY and was a graduate of the Averill Park High School.
Although life presented him with many challenges, Jeff especially excelled with computers, and ran a small used computer sales and technical support business.
He was a true patriot who loved America and believed in the American Dream.
Jeffrey is survived by his mother Joyce A. Blauvelt, his step father Gary S. Blauvelt of Poestenkill, his six brothers John J. (Lynda) Powers, III of Springs Woods, FL; Jerome K. Powers of Waterford, NY; James K. (Diane) Powers of Spencerport, NY; Thomas M. (Donald) Powers of Leland, NC; Timothy M. (Tracy) Powers of Cairo, NY; and Jason M. (Tammy) Powers of Averill Park, NY. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jeff was the son of the late John J. Powers Jr. formerly of Troy.
A private family service will follow at the Brookside Cemetery in Brunswick.
