Melba Inez Curtis 99 of Lascassas died Friday, April 30, 2021.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 4th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Bobby McGee officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Family asks that masks be worn and social distancing practiced.

She was a native of Bedford County and a retired employee of General Electric of Murfreesboro. Melba was a very special hardworking and loving Mother and Grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Avery Curtis; two sons, Larry Dickens and Morris Dickens; grandson, Mike Dickens.

Melba is survived by a son, Joe A. Curtis, Jr.; daughter, Carolyn Erickson; seven grandchildren, Joe A. Curtis III, Austin E. Curtis, Jeff (Mary Lynn) Dickens, Vickie (Jeff) Knippel, Paige (Greg) Hauber, David (Denise) Dickens, Tanya Snoddy; nine great grandchildren, Josh Knippel, Kelly (Jamelle) Knippel, Christopher Knippel, Mary Beth Dickens, Jarrett (Bailey) Dickens, Sydney Snoddy, Reed Dickens, Jake Dickens and Brittany (Jordan) Cooper, Cole Hauber, Kenzie Hauber; great great grandchild, Olivia Cooper.
