Elizabeth "Beth" Anne Nash (née Coonrod), 71, was called home by the Lord on March 23rd, 2021, at her home. The daughter of Glen and Ferne (Clarke) Coonrod, Beth was born on August 17th, 1949, in Boise, Idaho, and attended local schools from elementary through high school. It was at the age of 12, while attending South Junior High, that she met a fellow classmate and her future husband, Kenneth "Ken" Nash.

The couple, known as "Skip" and "Bunny" to close friends and family, were dedicated to each other at this young age. They continued to date though high school at Borah High, and then after graduating, married a few years later in June of 1970. Their dream of enlarging their family came true as they welcomed two sons in 1975 and 1978. Beth demonstrated herself to be a strongly committed wife and fiercely devoted mother for over half a century.

Beth was a fighter, in the best sense of the word, and had a resilient personality that served her and her loved ones well. She was a staunch advocate for family and friends, protective of those she loved, and relentless in giving to those with need. Her forte was in creating a family environment of safety and comfort into which countless people were welcomed and she wouldn't let anything stand in the way of providing care to those who needed her. Her generosity compelled her to treat many friends, especially those of her children, as "one of the family" and over the years many came to enjoy Beth as a "second mom."

One of Beth's greatest joys in life was becoming "Grama" to her two grandsons. As all the best grandmothers do, she doted on them to friends and acquaintances, while spoiling them as thoroughly as possible with gifts of love. She relished learning their interests, and spent many hours acquiring books, games, and videos that they could share together in fun and laughter during her weekly visits.

Beth is survived by her husband of 50+ years, Ken Nash; her two sons, Kory (Melissa) Nash and Kent (Rhiannon Madsen) Nash; and two grandsons, Kieran and Declan Nash. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Ferne Coonrod, and her brother, Richard "Dick" Coonrod.

The family is postponing a memorial service for Beth until late Spring or early Summer but are encouraging friends and acquaintances to honor her by contributing to some of her favorite organizations. Beth donated regularly to the Boise Firefighters Burnout Fund and the Idaho Humane Society. Donations given in her name to either of these charities, or others, would have made Beth very happy and continue her legacy of providing help and comfort for others.
