Donna Karolyn Sloan Henderson went to heaven to be with Jesus and the love of her life, Gerald Henderson, Saturday morning, May 1, 2021 at the age of 78 in her home with her family by her side.

Donna Sloan Henderson was born on January 1, 1943, in Jasper, AR to Wilburn and Bessie (Martin) Sloan.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. To know her was to love her. She had 2 beautiful children Sheila and Patrick who were born in California. She was also well known by many as the owner of Donna's Daycare in California for over 30 years. She and Gerald retired in 1988 and moved back to Jasper, Arkansas to be with family. She attended the Pine Grove church where she always loved Brother James Compton's sermons. Donna had a very strong faith, she loved to read her Bible, praying for and with others.

She loved Spending time with family, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face.

She enjoyed watching and listening Gerald's music with her family. She was a very strong and independent woman even until her last breath. Donna was no stranger to throwing Holiday gatherings, where you would almost always find her dancing with the family, a cold drink in her hand, leaving everyone around her a lasting memory of the good time she loved having.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 37 years, Gerald Henderson, her 4 Sisters and 2 nephews.

She is survived by her daughter Sheila & husband Dennis "Dino" Day of Sloan Mountain in Jasper, AR, her son Patrick Henderson & Tamara also of Sloan Mountain, and her brother-n-law Sterlin Henderson. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Melissa Criner & husband Jamey, Shayne Richardson, Tyler Breedlove, Spenser Bowen, Cody Kamper, Dakota Henderson, Sierra Kelsey & husband Chris, and Patrick Henderson along with 11 great grandchildren: Leslie Campbell, Maddox, & Garrett Criner, Serenity Bowen, Adeline Breedlove, Zaiah & Axton Richardson, Huntley Henderson, Kenna & Kayden Kamper, and soon to be, Delta Dawn Kelsey, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
