Obituary for Mary Allyne Carroll
Mary "Allyne" (Bratcher) Carroll passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her home in Waxahachie, Texas. The Lord blessed her with a full life of 101 years.

Allyne was born November 23, 1919 in Waxahachie, Ellis County, Texas, to Emmett Haynes Bratcher and Mary Aldia (Parker) Bratcher. She was raised by her grandparents, John Faust and Mary Addieville (Bruton) Parker in Waxahachie. She studied Fashion Design at Denver University and Interior Design at Texas University. As a young woman, she was a hat, shoe and fur model for a Dallas, millinery shop. She worked at restoring homes, interior decorating and in the import business with Asia House. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Waxahachie.

She had two sons with William Howard Huett: William Michael (Mike) Huett and John Ronald (Ronnie) Huett, all of whom passed before her.

Allyne lived thirty years with her second husband, Carl Lambrecht in Fort Worth and Kansas (until he passed away in 1980). Gardening was one of her most favorite hobbies. She particularly loved roses, and always had a vegetable garden. She loved dogs, and usually had at least one or two poodles throughout her life. After Carl passed away, she returned to her hometown of Waxahachie where she married Moreland Herring in 1982, they enjoyed seven years of marriage traveling the world until his passing in 1989.

She is survived by the children of her beloved son, Michael, six granddaughters and 13 great-grandchildren: Laura Green, of Broomfield, CO and four children, Daniel (Angel) Green, Michelle, Victoria, and Elizabeth Green; Melinda (David) DeRieux, of King George, VA and seven children, Alexander, Tatiana, Sophia, Analiesa, Jean-Luc, Michaila and Isabelle DeRieux; Kimberly Ballard, of Longmont, CO; Piaget Huett of Dallas, TX, and two children, Sinea Wreyford and Jaden Taylor; Dominique Huett of NY, NY; and Kristen Huett of Arlington, TX.

Additionally she is survived by a cousin, Caroline Germond of Whiting, NJ; a sister-in-law, Doris Bratcher of Waxahachie; a niece, Nancy Brown of Clute, TX; a step-daughter, Cynthia (Huett) Rice-Tims, of Paris, TX, step-son, Charles Huett of McKinney, and a nephew, William Ratcliff of Waxahachie.

Her closest friends were Deborah Myers (former daughter-in-law), and Sally Anderson Rudd, who were like daughters to her, and Ross Earl Reynolds, who was like a son to her.

In later years, God brought Maurice Walton Carroll into her life. They dearly loved one another and were very happily married (for 13 years) from June 9, 2007 to present. She acquired additional family from his 3 sons: Maurice Carroll III (Sherry), Richard (Judy) Carroll and 6 grandchildren from Arlington, TX, and Randy (Kathy) Carroll, Lubbock, TX.

Allyne was preceded in death by her parents, her two sons and two half siblings, Margie Ratcliff and Horace Bratcher.

All who knew her well felt her love. Throughout the years she was a spiritual mentor to many women in need of motherly guidance. Allyne was a woman of love, faith, beauty, grace, hospitality, wisdom and generosity who dramatically impacted each of our lives. She is dearly missed.
