Martha Joan Keller of WaKeeney, Kansas passed away April 28, 2021.

Martha was born January 16, 1935 in Humboldt, KS to Warren and Mabel Campbell. She graduated from Humboldt High School. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from Fort Hays State University.

Martha was married to Roy David Keller on December 6, 1950 in Humboldt. They were married for 68 years. Martha taught business education courses at Quinter High School for 3 years and at Hays High School for 23 years. Martha belonged to the Business Education fraternity at FHSU, Kappa Delta Pi, Chapter CT of PEO, WaKeeney, Literary Club and the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was active in First United Methodist Church teaching Sunday School and serving the church on many committees.

Martha is survived by children Jim (Liesel), Roanne, and John (Pam); son-in-law Keith; grandchildren Matthew (Amber), Julie, Casey (Douglas), Christopher (Stacy), Jenna, Campbell and Sylvia. Her great-grandchildren Hannah, Ethan, Ava, and Samuel. Immediate family survivors also include Paul and Mary Keller, Evelyn Keller and Sharon and Mike Eshleman along with many special nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by husband Roy, daughter Cheryl, and granddaughter Jamie and all her brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Saturday May 1, 2021, prior to the funeral at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of WaKeeney. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Clemence officiating. Private burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney, and she will forever rest with husband Roy.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of WaKeeney. Donations may be sent to Schmitt Funeral Home, 336 N 12th St. WaKeeney, Kansas, 67672.
