Betty was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Bessie (Kubec) and Frank Vrchota.

Survivors include three sons, Dean Christensen, of Concordia, Kansas, Paul Christensen, (Paula) of Goddard, Kansas, Steve Christensen, of Ballwin, Missouri; daughter, Laurie Schutz, (Vince) of Salina, Kansas; grandchildren, Wade Christensen, Aaron Christensen (Amber), Connor Christensen (Emily), Sarah Foos, Hannah Schutz, Rebecca Schutz; great grandchildren, Layton Christensen, Kyla Christensen, Emma Christensen, Jason Glass, with 1 on the way; and a brother, Michael Vrchota, (Teri) of Orland Park, Illinois.

Cremation has been chosen.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 4th at Carlson - Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas.

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina, Kansas 67401.
