Pat's survivors include his three children: Ashley Dietz of Mechanicsburg, Cory Dietz and wife, Summer, of Scarbro, WV, Patrick "PJ" Dietz, II of Stuarts Draft, VA; his eight grandchildren: Conner Dietz, Eathan Weaver, Gage Dietz, Beckham Dietz, Sunny Dietz, Lovely Dietz, Jagger Dietz, Rogue Dietz; his four siblings: John Dietz, Gary Dietz, Jr., Lorri French, Abby Dietz; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Diesel the boxer.
Pat graduated from Northern High School as part of the class of 1980. He was a member of the American Legion. Pat worked as a self-employed over the road truck driver who was known by his CB handle, "Crusader." As someone who lived his life in perpetual motion, he enjoyed owning and riding motorcycles. Pat was known for his giving spirit as well as having a colorful and large vocabulary. Above all else, he was a loving father and grandfather, known as "Pops." Pat put a lot of effort into his grandchildren and was always engaged with them.
All are welcome to join Pat's family at his greeting of family and friends on Friday, May 14, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating. Interment in St. John's Cemetery in Mechanicsburg will be at the family's convenience. Cremation was private.
