Obituary of Tamera Jean (Pullen) Davis
Tamera Jean (Pullen) Davis
March 30th, 1964 – February 12th, 2021
Tamera (Tammy) passed away in her home on February 12th, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dirk, and two children, Preston (25) and Tabitha (24) as well as her mother Jean, sister Cinda and brother William Kent.
A Portland native, Tamera was an All-American cross-country runner at Sunset High School before moving on to study Psychology at Oregon State University where she met Dirk. Tamera worked for companies such as Nordstrom and Columbia Sportswear before finding her passion as a stay-at-home mother, artist, and bona fide badass with her 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo.
Tammy was an amazing mother. She prepared a hot breakfast each and every morning until high school graduation day, volunteered in the classroom, supported from all sports sidelines, and always kept her home open to Preston and Tabitha's friends. She made all feel special and safe when they stepped through the doors. She ensured the kids had the life lessons and skills necessary to fly the coop and encouraged them to follow their hearts and dreams.
As an artist, there was no medium she could not flourish in. From crochet, quilting, beading, painting, and clothes-making, there was hardly a moment when multiple artistic projects were not in progress. She will be most remembered by her family as the woman who could make or fix anything and leave it better than she found it. Tammy also loved to spend time gardening and tending to her plants.
Tamera's sudden passing is felt by her loved ones, who wish they could tell her they love her just one more time.
Services will be held at the McMenamins Kennedy School on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00am. There will be a live stream of the service on Microsoft Teams (link below). If you would like to send flowers, the family would prefer them sent to their home on Friday, March 5th and they will transport themselves. Please email Tabitha at [email protected] for their home address.
