Shirley Taylor Wells, 78, of Coatesville died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville.
Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Helen Esther Thomas Taylor.
Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Octorara High School. In 1976, she graduated from Eastern College, then received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1990. She received her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from University of Pennsylvania.
Shirley was a Clinical Specialist of Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and taught at Lincoln University for many years. She retired from County Office of Services for Aging (COSA) Delaware County.
She attended Coatesville Bible Fellowship.
Shirley is survived by her three brothers: George H. Taylor of Coatesville, James W. Taylor, Sr. and his wife Donna, and Daniel Lee Taylor both of Parkesburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Shirley's memorial service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11am at Wentz Funeral Home 342 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville 610-384-0318. Visitation will begin at 10am.
Interment will be in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, Coatesville.
