Curtis J. Taylor, 71, of East Haven, CT, was born to Frank and Mary Taylor on June 16th, 1949 in Bridgeport, CT .

He passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 25th 2021.

Curtis was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Nancy F. Taylor of 44 years, his daughter Erin and husband Randall Mena, grandson Giorgio Mena and an expected second grandson in August, all of East Haven, CT. He was a resident of Lordship/Stratford, Waterbury and Cheshire, CT.

Curtis retired after 32 years in law enforcement working with the Bridgeport Police Department and then as a Corrections Office at Mansion Youth Institution in Cheshire in 2002 and then moved to Stoddard, New Hampshire.

He returned to Connecticut in 2019 due to health concerns and to be closer to family.

He graduated from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT in 1971. As a history major he loved reading and watching The History Channel or anything related to it. His favorite pastimes included fishing, kayaking, Alpine skiing, snowshoeing and hunting.

Curtis is also survived by his sister Gail and husband Carl Rossi of Georgetown, Texas, his godson & nephew Stephen Rossi of Austin, Texas, brother Douglas A. Taylor and friend Anna Zielinska of Branford, CT and his niece & goddaughter Alyssa Muller and husband Robert of Seymour CT.

He was predeceased by his parents Frank E. Taylor and Mary Nemergut Taylor and his brother Michael A. Taylor.

Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, CT.
