Amy Jo Lee was born May 3, 1972 in Knoxville, Iowa the daughter of Greg and JoAnn (Hollingshead) Lee.
Amy lived at home until the age of 3 and then attended Woodward School until 1976. She then moved to Burt, Iowa and lived at Exceptional Opportunities until 2012, when she moved to C.O.C. in Pella, Iowa. It was so nice having her close to Knoxville. Amy was so blessed to have all the residents and staff in her life. She was always on the go and a little ornery!!
Amy passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa, at the age 48 years.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, J.V. and Wilma Hollingshead, and Bob and Rita Lee.
Those left to cherish Amy's memory include her parents, Greg and JoAnn Lee; sister, Angie (Jim) Uitermarkt; niece and nephew, Tara and Carson Uitermarkt and many other family members, friends and loving caretakers.
A Memorial Service for Amy Jo Lee, age 48 of Knoxville, will be held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Celebrate Church. Visitation will begin after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the church where the family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
