Stricken Home From Church
When returning home from prayer meeting about 9:30 last night, Mrs. Johanna Blade, wife of W.E. Blade living on Monroe street, was stricken with a hemorrhage of the brain and paralytic stroke on the square, as she was passing the Merken store. She fell right into the arms of Mr. Blade, and was taken into the store. An automobile rushed her to her home, where a physcian was waiting. She died in a short time after reaching home, but never regained consciousness.
Deceased was born in Valparaiso, and was 52 years of age this month. She was a loyal member of the Methodist church, a member of the Lady Foresters, and Macabees. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Carpenter officiating, and will be in charge of the Macabees. Besides the husband, five children survive as follows; Chas. of Flint, Mich., John, Valparaiso; Mrs. Ernest Kassow of Chicago, Mrs. Chas. Clark, of Valparaiso, and Mrs. M. Long, also of Valparaiso.
