Samuel C. "Sammy" Moore, 84, of Cleveland passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the home of his son following a brief illness.
Mr. Moore was born in New York, NY on February 10, 1937, the son of the late Samuel and Thelma Leona (nee Moore) Fagin.
He was a graduate of the New York School for the Deaf in White Plains, NY, the Charles Evan Hughes High School and received an associate degree from Cuyahoga Community College in Purchase management.
Mr. Moore was a member of the Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain. He retired in 2001 from American Greetings in Cleveland as the coordinator of arts. He had more than 20 years service.
Currently, he served as a teacher at the American Sign Language and at the Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center.
Sammy is survived by daughters, Christine Michelle Moore of New York, New York, Jacqueline Mercedes (Parris) Moore-Price, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania , Stephanie Moore of Bedford, son Christopher Matthew (Ashley) Lopez, of Parma Heights, grandchildren, Stephen Joseph, Jailynn Joseph, Parris Price, Hasani Miles, Shervette Rodriguez, Sheyenne Rodriguez, Gabrielle Lopez, Michael Lopez, Olivia Lopez, great grandchildren Syire Joseph, Syris Joseph, Zayden Porta, Jaylah Rodriguez, Jay-Mir Rodriguez, and longtime companion Susan Bungard of Lorain.
