Obituary of Michael D Lea
Michael D. "Mike" Lea, 63, Muncie, passed away Tuesday afternoon, April 27, 2021. He was born Friday, October 18, 1957, in Portland, Indiana, the son of David and Joanna (Sparks) Lea. Mike grew up in Dunkirk and attended Jay County High School. He enjoyed life to the fullest, which included drinking a Budweiser beer. Mike loved spending time with family and friends and his "furry companions". He worked for Superior Linen Services. Survivors include his mom, Joanne Charles; son, Kris (wife, Lisa) Lea; two brothers, Randy (wife, Sherry) Lea, and Rick (wife, Brenda) Lea; his sister, Connie (husband, Randy) Kerrigan; two grandchildren, Kiley and Landon; a step-brother, Max (wife, Terry) Bowdell; and several nieces and nephews. His dad, David Lea; his daughter, April Guy; and a sister, Leasa Charles, preceded him in death. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday or after 10:00 a.m. Monday. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a mask and social distancing is required.
