He graduated from Marengo, Illinois high school in 1949. He was proud of his time in the National Guard and U.S. Air Force until 1953 and also had his private pilot license.
He met and married his love and best friend, Elaine Peterson in 1954. They were blessed with four children and 66 years of happy memories. He worked for AT&T for 38 years, retiring in 1993. Bruce and Elaine found much happiness in working together buying and restoring antiques. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and building two houses, and finally retiring in Algoma in 1998. He met many friends and was able to fish most days. He and Elaine enjoyed their trips to Florida where they spent their winters on the Gulf coast for 20 years - he enjoyed fishing there also. They took many trips, including Spain and Ireland. He loved watching his grandchildren grow and the family parties.
He is survived by his wife Elaine and children, Eric (Kristen) Jensen, Brookfield, WI, Carl (Vickie) Jensen, Green Bay, WI, Carrie (Gary) Jones, McDonald, TN, and Aaron Jensen, Algoma, WI. - grandchildren, Sophia, Claire, and Nathan Jensen, Vickie's sons David (Crystal), and Robert (Susan) and their children - brothers Donald, Elgin, IL, David (Jorita), Sequim, WA, and James, Mason, WI, - sister, Joan (Allen) McReath, Montello, WI, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Judy (Clarence) Klawitter, Sheila (George) Miller, brother Douglas Jensen and sister-in-law, Hattie Jensen.

Bruce will be sadly missed.
Visitation will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rankin from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Memorial Service will at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. Christopher Jackson officiating. Military Honors will follow service. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery.
