In her younger years, Jeannette spent her time showing two halter horses, including Orange County Sheriff's Posse Grand Champion mare, Doc's Nickel Express. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Later on in life, she enjoyed attending concerts, going out to the local dancehalls with friends, and spending time with her son, Brian. She and her son had an ongoing tradition of going to theaters to see Marvel super hero movies that spanned the course of over a decade. She also spent many years volunteering with the Transportation Committee for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
