Sondra Lee Miller, 77, of Junction City, KS, passed away on April 17, 2021. Johnson Funeral Home of Junction City, KS, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.

A visitation will be held Sunday, May 2, 2021, from 2:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 203 N. Washington St., with a public gathering of prayer and sharing of memories at 3:00 pm.

A graveside committal will be held the next day Monday, May 3, 2021, 1:00 pm., at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, 5181 Wildcat Creek Rd., Manhattan, KS 66503.

Sondra was born on December 18, 1943, in Junction City, Kansas to Joseph and Celeste (Hammond) Hudley. She grew up in the Junction City area graduating from Junction City High School. She married Elijah Miller Jr. on June 10, 1966. Together they lived most of their lives in Junction City.

Sondra was a hard worker. She worked as a supply clerk at Geary Community Hospital for many years. Not only was she a professional woman, she was also highly family oriented. She loved cooking for family gatherings. Holidays were made especially wonderful with her lovingly made meals. She loved to spend time with her close friends and family. Above all, she was a caring wife, strong, tough, loving mother, beloved sister and daughter, adoring grandmother, and loyal friend. She will be dearly missed.

Sondra is survived by her loving family: her four children, Janet James of Manhattan, KS, Janice Smith of KY, Barbara Runnels of Junction City, KS, and Ernest Miller of Manhattan, KS; her many grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elijah Miller, Jr., and siblings Nancy Louise, Judy, Dennis and Joe.
