Waynesville-Roy Mack Kirby, 79, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2021 at Mission Memorial Hospital. Born on July 30, 1941, to the late Richard Earl Kirby and Annie Waldrep Kirby in Valley, Alabama.
Roy attended Auburn University receiving a degree in Electrical Engineering, and later went on to earn a law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law in Atlanta Georgia. Roy spent his career of 34 years with Georgia Power Company. Roy enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and his beloved cats, being at the lake, and playing golf with special friends.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brother Eric Kirby.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years Jennie Kirby; daughters Susan Waldrep Kirby, Penelope Kirby Corbin (Kingsley); granddaughters Annie MacGregor Corbin and Abigail Lane Corbin.
At Roy's request no services will be held at this time, however a Celebration of Life will be planned at a future date.
