Mrs. Mildred Maxine Turley, age 79, of Moro, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007. Mrs. Turley was born Nov. 12, 1927, in Holly Grove, the daughter of Lecil and Olga Ryals Gannon. She was retired from the Moro school cafeteria and was a member of the Moro Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. Mrs. Turley is survived by two daughters, Linda Jones of Forrest City and Shirley Fowler of Moro; a son, Larry Turley of Searcy; three sisters, Irene Painter of Nesbitt, Miss., Alma Herndon of Warren, Ore. and Dorothy Galey of Lubbock, Texas; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Iva A. Turley; three brothers and five sisters. Visitation for Mrs. Turley will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fowler Funeral Home in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Moro Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro.
