Mary Beth Williams was born on June 13, 1943 in Leesville, Louisiana to Lizzie Jane and Leo Liles, Sr. She was one of nine siblings of a blended family. She met and later married the love of her life, LeeRoy Williams, on November 17, 1956.  They had six beautiful children that they raised to be strong and independent, and they remain so today.  LeeRoy and Mary were married for 56 years and exemplified what a true marriage should be. They showed this by being faithful members of Gulfgate United Pentecostal Church, which later became Christ Church Apostolic. She received the Holy Ghost on Easter Sunday in 1968. She loved the Lord with all her heart and served Him until she drew her last breath.

She would want each of you to know that she loves you and appreciates your friendship over the years. She was often quiet and soft spoken, but she was an extremely strong woman. She was strong in her love for the Lord, her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She loved her family more than anything and spent all her life showing that.

She is survived in death by her children: Wanda Hayes and husband Mike of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Douglas Williams of Houston, Texas; Elizabeth Johnson of Houston, Texas; Dorothy Kirk and late husband Mike of Houston, Texas; Vernon Williams and wife Connie of Morgantown, Kentucky; and Rebekah Peterson of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren: Kristilyn Williams, Cynthia and Josh O'Bryan, Nathaniel Williams, Mohammad and Riddah Bilal, Mary and Jose Jovel, LeRoy Kirk, Richard Peterson, Caitlyn Peterson, and Lauren and Anthony Najari; her great-grandchildren: Ameer, Rayyan, Zain, and Maaz Bilal, Sawyer and Brooks O'Bryan, Kynsleigh Williams, Ava and Charlotte Najari, and Noah Jovel; three siblings: Leo Liles, Jr. and family of Anacoco, Louisiana; Ronald Liles and family of Jena, Louisiana; and Dewey Liles and family of Rosepine, Louisiana; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, LeeRoy Williams, her parents, several siblings, nieces, and nephews.

We cannot imagine our lives without her.  She will be greatly missed.

The Homegoing Celebration of Mrs. Williams' life will be held on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 at 7:00pm at Christ Church Apostolic; visitation will be held from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Interment will follow at 12:30pm on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at Forest Park East Cemetery.
