Jerry Alton Payne, 61, of Martinez, Ga, passed away on April 28, 2021.
Jerry was born in Rentz, Ga to Billy and Virginia Payne on September 28, 1959. He married Robin Roe on July 26, 1986 in Rentz. He retired from ASCI after over 25 years as an IT manager.

He was a classic car guy and enjoyed going to car shows. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed working in the yard, camping, driving the tractor on the farm and time on the porch with his dog, Winston.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 34 years; son, Billy Payne and wife, Hope; granddaughter, Willow Rose Payne; sister, Lisa Ayers and husband, Frank and brother, David Payne. He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jerry's honor to the Humane Society of McCormick County. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Trinity Hospice for their care and support.

Memorial Services will be officiated by Rev. Philip Hedgecoth at First Baptist Church of Evans on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11am. The family will receive family and friends immediately following the services.
