Janet was born in Utica on July 3, 1943, a daughter of the late Edwin M. and Esther (Schaerer) Kimball, and attended Remsen Central School.
Janet was employed most recently at the Towne House Restaurant in Herkimer. Although she was very ill the majority of her adult life, Janet will be missed mostly for her kind heart and sense of humor. She loved animals, and leaves behind her loyal companions, Misty, her cat, and eleven year old cockatiel, Sammy. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her many friends and responders from the Herkimer Police Department over the past several years.
Besides her dear friend Brian Lynch, Janet also leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Dave Sauter and grandchildren, Cristin and Jake Sauter of Hopewell Junction, NY; a son, Raymond Dutcher of Las Vegas, NV and a grandson, James. Also surviving are sisters, Gail M. Dubinsky of Latham , Nancie Lorenz of Rome, and Sandra L. Watkins of Clinton; and a brother and sister-in-law, Edwin "Eddie" and Diana Kimball of North Bay; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Annette Wassall and Carol Gossin.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. Published in The Observer-Dispatch on April 12, 2011
