Sylvia F. Miller, of East Stroudsburg, passed away in her home on Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2021, from ALS at age 80.

She was born at Monroe County General Hospital on April 11, 1941; the daughter of the late N. Cornell and Marion (Darragh) Faucett. She was raised on a dairy farm at Egypt Mills.

Sylvia was a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School and then nursing school. She worked at Pocono Medical Center for thirty years as a LPN. Sylvia was a member of several local historical societies, Shawnee Presbyterian Church, Blue Ridge Cherry Valley Rod and Gun Club, and Woodpecker Lake Association.

She enjoyed yard sales and fund raising activities at the church, but most of all she enjoyed early morning coffee watching the sunrise at Woodpecker Lake.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Bari and Carol West (and husband Jason); stepchildren, Mandi Phillips (and husband Matthew) and Cory Miller (and wife Patti); grandchildren, Kyle and Brian West, Gage Gollin, and Morgan and Kyndal Miller. Sylvia was predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald Miller; and stepson, Monte Miller.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 8, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with visitation beginning at 10:00am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am. The Rev. David Cornell will officiate. Cremation was private and burial will take place at Shawnee Presbyterian Cemetery.
