Funeral services for Don H. Richardson, Jr., 66, will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in DeBerry, Texas. Officiating will be Reverend Jerry Dean. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Don was born on August 11, 1954 to Don Howard Richardson, Sr. and Wanda Leigh Hines Richardson in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in Shreveport.
Don was a resident of Shreveport and worked in construction for over 50 years. He was the owner of Richardson & Sons Masonry, LLC. In his spare time, he loved fishing and camping with his family and friends. He experienced so much joy in being a papaw to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don is preceded in death by his father, Don H. Richardson, Sr.; and sister, Linda Sanders. Left to cherish his memory is his spouse of 35 years, Judith Richardson; mother, Wanda Richardson; children, Alice Haralson, Paul Carrington, Casey Carrington and wife, Jackie, and Rachel Erlinger and husband, Robert; siblings, Ramona McDaniel and husband, Billy and Brad Richardson and wife, Ellen; grandchildren, Haley, Chloe, Mackenzie, Emma, Elijah, Rayleigh, Josiah and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Auna Leigh, Halle and Noah-Don.
Honoring Don as pallbearers will be Bradley McDaniel, Jared McDaniel, Jacob Richardson, John Garrett Richardson, David Bentley and Mark Bentley. Honorary pallbearer will be James Ellison.
