Jeffery, 56, passed away peacefully at his home in Lake, MI on Sunday, April 25 with his family by his side. Jeff was born to Patrick Crawford and Bonita (Huntoon) Crawford.

Jeff graduated from Clare High School in 1983. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1983-1988. Jeff returned to Clare where he resided for most of his life and raised his three children. He just celebrated his 29th year of service at Consumers Energy. He started there as a meter reader, then a tree trimmer, and then worked his way through the company to become a lineman crew leader.

In July 2014, Jeff married Lisa Zimmerman (Cottle) from Mt. Pleasant where they then resided until 2020. In April 2020, they moved to their future retirement home on Crooked Lake.

Jeff was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, the Pilot's Association at the Clare Municipal Airport, and the Clare/Farwell American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, flying his 1975 Grumman airplane, playing his guitar, deer hunting, playing on the lake, and traveling with his wife.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Lisa; children Ross (Laura Walton) Crawford of Clare, Rachael (Jason) Humphrey of Farwell, and Riley (Katie Lochart) Crawford of Kalamazoo; step-daughters Gretchen Zimmerman of Ann Arbor and Grace Zimmerman of Auburn Hills; mother, Bonita (Huntoon) Crawford (Jack Cotter) ; siblings, Jennifer (Jamey) Carbeno, Joe (Darlene) Crawford, and Jason (Jennifer) Crawford; grandchildren, Piper, Blakelee, Josephine, and Jack.
