Lee, ME and Hubbardston, MA - Charles C. Fox Sr., age 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Lee on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. He was born in Lowell, MA on June 2, 1943. Charles spent most of his childhood years on his grandparents farm in Dracut, MA. When he was just 17 years old, he joined the United States Marine Corps and travelled the world. When he returned home, he married and had three children and eventually turned back to his love of farming and bought his own farm in Hubbardston, MA where he milked 35 cows and ran an ice cream stand with his daughter Lisa. He was also a foster parent to many children in need over the years. Charles was quite the entrepreneur, owning a fence company for many years. In 2003, he moved to Lee, ME where he purchased another farm where he raised Herefords for beef and made hay. He loved his cows and everyone loved him.
Charles was predeceased by his parents Charles and Dorothy Fox of Hubbardston, MA, and his sister Judith Rodenizer of Hubbardston, MA.
He leaves behind his three loving children, Earl and his wife Laurie Strom of Templeton, MA, Charles Clinton Fox Jr. of Lee, ME, and Lisa Fox of Ashburnham, MA, his brother, Embert (Steve) and his wife Pamela Fox of Hubbardston, MA, three grandsons, Ryan, Kyle and Bruce and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves two very close friends, Eliot and Amy Banks of Lee, ME. Private funeral services will be held at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon, MA at a later date.
