Memorial service for Roy Wayne Carter, 73, of Ninnekah, OK will be held at 3:30 PM on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Ron Blankinship will officiate.

Roy Wayne Carter was born the son of Marion Grady Carter and Frances Carolyn Butts Carter on December 15, 1945 in Chickasha, OK. He died on September 30, 2019 in Ninnekah, OK.

Wayne graduated from Chickasha High School and worked for a short time at Max's Drive-In. He married Judy Bauman soon after high school and they made their home in Chickasha. He worked at the carpet factory in Anadarko for a few years before working at Chickasha Iron Works. He eventually went to work for Stephens Oil Company as a truck driver, retiring with over 20 years of service. He loved his family and especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wayne was a member of Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wayne is survived by his wife Judy; daughter and husband Tricia Martin and Phil; daughter Traci Carter; grandchildren Brittany Guerrero, Kaci Harrington, Chase Martin, Alex Martin and Tyler Martin; great-grandchildren Hadley Ryans and Kaydin Ryans; brother and wife Bill Carter and Betty; sister Audie Carter; and numerous other family.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
