Peggy was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA and raised four children with her husband Claude Bell Jr. She was very fond of cats and dogs and would always take in the wounded strays. She loved her children and enjoyed family gatherings especially when her son did the cooking. She liked shopping at Goodwill because she could always get a great bargain. She liked to watch the red birds, and movies. No one could come between her Bluebell ice cream and her animals. Peggy was always honest to a fault.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claude Bell Jr.; son, Anthony Bell; daughter, Kelly Hoffpauir; sisters, Jean Warden, Linda McKay, and Sue Parker.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Claude Bell lll and girlfriend Regina Doyle of Westlake, LA; daughter, Skyler Young of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Clifton LeJeune Jr. and wife Kelly of Moss Bluff, LA; sister, Shirley Duhon of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Terry, Megan, Kayla Hoffpauir, Brook Bell, Samuel Bell, Aimee Miller, Heather Dyer, Ashley Steele, Harley Bell, Hunter Bell; multiple great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday April 29, 2021 at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake from the hours of 4pm-7pm and will resume on Friday the 30, 2021 beginning at 12pm. Funeral Service will be on Friday at the funeral home at 2pm. Burial will follow at Westlake memorial Park.
