FOUND DEAD IN BED BY HUSBAND

Mrs. Thomas Bowman Victim of Heart Attack

To awaken in the morning and find his wife dead, was the experience on Thursday morning of Mr. Thomas Bowman, Park Ave. When Mr. Bowman awakened about 6:40 o'clock, noted his wife apparently still sleeping. He attempted to waken her and found she had passed away. Dr. Simmons was called and attributed death to a heart attack.

Mrs. Bowman had been enjoying good health and had retired near midnight. At four o'clock she awakened to attend to one of the children.

The late Mrs. Bowman, who before her marriage was Olive Meredith, was born at Ermotts, near Dresden, July 14, 1894, and came to Elmira about four years ago from St. Thomas.

She is survived by her husband. five sons and five daughters, ranging in ages from 16 years to 1 1/2 years. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Meredith, 5 East Ave., two sisters, Mrs. Irene Sullavan and Miss Velma Meredith of St. Thomas, two brothers, Ralph Meredith of Toledo, Ohio, and Lyle Meredith of Toronto, Ont.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Sewell of Gale Presbyterian Church. Friday evening at her late home on Park Ave. Interment took place at St. Thomas on Saturday.
