James H. Luttrull Sr., age 62, died October 2, 2013. He was born May 19, 1951, in Muskegon, to Elwood and Marie (Kropf) Luttrull. Jim earned an Associates Degree at Muskegon Community College and was an engineer at Howmet Corp. until retiring. On June 25, 1977, he married the former Mitzi L. Hildebrandt. An active member of St. James Catholic Church in Montague, he served his parish and community through involvement in the White Lake Giving Tree, Lenten fish fries, weekly Bingo, and as an usher. Jim was always willing to lend a helping hand in many projects that came up. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. Jim was a member of Our Lady of White Lake Knights of Columbus Council #12985, White Lake VFW Post #3256, and White Cloud Eagles Aerie #4170. As an Honorary Lifetime member of the White Lake Area Sportfishing Association, he often spent long hours heading up the cooking at their Annual Fish Boil. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a regular blood donor to the American Red Cross. Jim was known for growing giant pumpkins. He was preceded in death by his parents. FAMILY: His wife, Mitzi; his sons, James Jr. (Lisa) Luttrull and Christopher Luttrull; grandsons, Elwood, Joseph and Jack; siblings, Eugene (Brenda) Luttrull, Joan (Paul) Rolewicz, Tom (Jennifer) Luttrull and John Luttrull; brothers-in-law, William (Janie) Hildebrandt, John Hildebrandt, Tom (Debbie) Hildebrandt and Andy Hildebrandt, many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL MASS: Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 11 AM, at St. James Catholic Church, 5179 Dowling St., Montague, with the Rev. Fr. Peter Omogo presiding.
