Cynthia Lea Graham, of Lockport, died on January 20, 2014, following a lifelong struggle with illness. She was born on January 10, 1955 to Bernard William and Shirley June Amos. She attended school in Medina, graduating in 1973.
Cynthia married David Kendall Graham on October 16, 1975 and they resided in Medina for several years. Following high school, Cynthia worked at The Medina Journal and The Union Sun & Journal. She then worked at American Lady Fitness, and eventually owned and operated Curves for Women in Medina and Lockport.
Cynthia is survived by her father, Bernard Amos of Medina; three sisters, Claudia (Wilson) Southworth of Medina, Cheryl (DeVon) Smith of Rochester, and Colleen (Gregory) Brose of Bossier City, LA; nieces, Stacey (Clint) Cormier of Shreveport, LA, Courtney (Michael) Dzialo of Hampton, NH; and nephew, Scott Scharping of Bossier City, LA; great-nephews and nieces, Caleb and Joshua Cormier of Shreveport, LA, and Isabella, Ariana, Matthew, and Meghan Dzialo of Hampton, NH. She was predeceased by her husband, David Graham, in 1984; and her mother, Shirley Amos, on December 4, 2013.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 24th from 1-3 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina. A funeral service will follow immediately at 3 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations may be made in Cynthia's name to Lee-Whedon Memorial Library.
