ANDERSON - Evelyn Ashley Gossett, 83, widow of the late William Harris Gossett, of 2203 Marchbanks Ave. died Monday December 6th at Magnolias of Anderson.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Estelle Duncan Ashley. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and a former employee at Blair Mills.
Surviving are sons, Don Gossett and wife Doreene of Belton, Billy Gossett and wife Jean of Iva; daughter, Patricia French and husband Doug of Belton; sisters, Violet Trotter and Ella Mae King both of Belton; brother, David Ashley of Belton; grandchildren, Tina Hip of Charlotte, NC, Teresa Sorrow of Lavonia, GA, Chad Gossett, Brit French, Chelsey French all of Belton; great grandchildren, Karson Gossett, Tyler Sorrow; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Ashley, Barbara Ashley, Lois Ashley all of Belton; stepbrother, Wayne Traynham of Honea Path; stepsister, Doris McDonald of FL. Predeceased by brothers, I.T. Ashley, Tolly Ashley, Aubrey Ashley, Howard Ashley, Marshall Ashley and stepmother, Mae Ashley.
Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, December 8th at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Mitch Brooks, Rev. Dwight Greene, and Rev. Alton Midgett officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Tuesday at Cox Funeral Home.
Flowers are optional or memorials mat be made to Second Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family will be at the home of her son, Don Gossett, 2014 Shady Grove Rd. Belton.COX FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
