Mrs. Becky Ward, age 75 of Turkey, NC died peacefully Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Vidant Duplin Hospital, Kenansville, NC after having suffered with a brief illness.
Born November 4, 1945 in Duplin County, NC, Becky was the daughter of the late Norman and Mattie Ophelia Hairr Ezzell. She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents Becky was also predeceased by her husband William Kenneth Ward, son Charles Ward and brothers Steven Ezzell, Tommy Ezzell, Burgus Ezzell and great-granddaughter, Madison Ann Ward.
Survivors include her children; Chris Ward and wife Denise, Mark Ward, Karen Taylor and husband Johnny and Sherry Ward; grandchildren, Junior Ward, Kim Legette (Donald), Jordan Ward, Evan Ward, Robert Ward, John Ward, Daniel Ward, Jonathan Ward (Tracy), Allen Williams (Jillian) and Samantha Nethercutt (James); numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Doris Southerland, Angie Blake, Dennis Ezzell, Pa Ezzell and Dwight Ezzell.
Funeral services were privately held on Friday, April 30, 2021, 11:00 AM at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton, NC with burial following in South Forty Cemetery, Turkey, NC. The Reverend Timmy Gore officiated.
