She was the daughter of the late Henry Fletcher and Lora Belle Smith Phillips. She was married to Bruce Sexton Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Terry Jones Poythress; two brothers, Carl Ferman Phillips and Fletcher Phillips; and three sisters, Alta Williams, Lora Williams, and Bonnie Van Gorder. She was survived by two sons, Bruce Ray Jones (Winona) and Phillip Owen Jones; son-in-law, Phillip Lee Poythress; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Atlas Phillips (Betsy).
