Daniel E. Richmond, 62, of McClure, Ohio passed away April 25, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on May 7, 1958 to the late Harold and Virginia (Herringshaw) Richmond. He married Barbara Sloop on February 14, 1983 in Grand Rapids, Ohio and she survives.

Daniel worked as a carpenter. He proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post #232 in Grand Rapids, Ohio. He loved to be outdoors and was an avid hunter, and fisherman. Daniel enjoyed working on model cars and airplanes and working on cars. He was a huge fan of country western shows and watching M.A.S.H.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara; daughter Sarah (Kenny) Thomas; sons: Daniel (Krystal) Richmond, Matthew Richmond, Robert (Brandi) Richmond; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters: Roxie Ann Hill, Geraldine (Chuck) Close, Paula (Jim) Ross, Kimberly (Dennis) Foote, and brother Douglas (Kim) Richmond.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, grandchild Kaylynn, brothers Eugene Snyder, James Richmond, and sister Viola Richmond.

Visitation for Daniel will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 3:00 -7:00 PM in the Hanneman Funeral Home, 24084 W. Second Street, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522. Funeral services for Daniel will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will immediately follow in Hockman Cemetery. Those attending the visitation and funeral service are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
