Phillip Ray "Bud" Moon, 72, of Bellefontaine passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 23, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born in Logan County on Jan. 18, 1944, to the late Arthur and Helen Rhoades Moon. Bud was also preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Charles, Robert and Harold Moon; and a sister, Betty Rally.

Bud married the former Anne Rosemary Predmore on Feb. 14, 1965, in Logan County and she survives in Bellefontaine. He is also survived by a son; a daughter; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one expected in February 2017; a brother; two sisters; a brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bud retired from Carter Steel where he worked for 28 years. He was an avid fan of all sports and loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns. He was like a father to all the neighborhood kids and was always the "all-time quarterback" or "all-time pitcher" in the pick-up games. He truly just enjoyed being with his family.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center Bellefontaine. Online condolences may be expressed at www.edsfh.com.
