She grew up in Irving and was a graduate of MacArthur High School, North Lake College and attended Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches. She married William E. Wade March 8, 1976 in Dallas. They lived in Seattle, Denver and Florida before returning to Irving. She was a registrar and worked for the Irving Independent School District for nine years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Irving.
Survived by her husband, William, her mother, Joyce Cox and two brothers, James and Bill Rambo, nephews and nieces, grand-nieces, several cousins and other family.
