Jone Marie Stahlschmidt, 67, of Richland Center died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. She was born on March 6, 1954 the daughter of Leonard William and Lela Ann (Hendricks) Escher. Jone graduated from Weston High School. After high school went to work as a CNA. Jone married Donald Walter Stahlschmidt and the couple farmed together for many years. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting, and reading. Jone's true loved was her daughter Amber and her three grandchildren Terry Sage, Haddy Longmire, and Weston Sage.
Jone is survived by her daughter Amber (Terry) Sage of Muscoda;
three grandchildren: Terry Sage, Haddy Longmire and Weston Sage;
five brothers and sisters:
Valerie (Gordon) Eppley of Chetek,
Larry Escher of Loganville,
Laurie Escher of Wisconsin Dells,
Rod (Dawn) Escher of Loganville,
Susan (Curtis) Brill of Cazenovia;
many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jone was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at the Valton Cemetery. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
