If in fact there was a Francis Spencer at this cemetery and married to Missouri Spencer, this is not the same man. I'll try to get that straightened out as soon as possible. This man was married to Anna Blalock Spencer, and picture of headstone to follow soon. They share 1 stone.

I have some additional information on Francis Marion Spencer, Sr. He is my great-great-great-grand-father. Francis was born 9 Aug 1811 in Fairfield, Ohio, to James Spencer (1787-1858)and his first wife, Rachel Mitchell. Francis married Anna Blalock (or Blaylock) on 21 Sept 1837 in Porter County, Ind. He joined Anna's family on their travels to Missouri, leaving all his family back in Ohio. The 1840 census finds Francis in Livingston County, Missouri. In 1850 they are located in Dodge (later renamed Putnam)County, and in 1860 in Putnam County. Their children were: James (1838-1913), Harriet Ann (1841-1924), Mary Ann (1844-1864), Jesse L. (1846-1924), William N, (1850-1932), Sarah Jane (1852-1942), Francis Marion, Jr, (1855-1929), Ruth Ellen (1858-1865), and Eli (1862-1933). After 1860, Francis and his family traveled to Washington state, and then settled in Benton, Oregon by 1870. Only Harriet Ann and her husband stayed behind in Putnam County, Mo.
